Physical resources
The Physical resources in Stockport College are used on a day-to-day basis; physical
resources are thing such as building and facilities, equipment including ICT and planned and
maintenance and refurbishment. They are important for Stockport College because without
the physical resources the college would not be able to run their business. Physical resources
in Stockport College can improve by making sure the building is maintained to ensure they
the building is update with all its need which will offer student to have a good building to be
in and for studying. Management of equipment including ICT is necessary for the college,
staff and students requirements. The college need to make sure they have enough
equipment, because having lack of equipment in the college will not be able to run as
efficiently. The equipment include ICT such as: computer, IT hardware and software, need to
be managed in a careful way because for example, the hardware is a physical part of the
computers and other type of ICT equipment, such as scanner, printer and keyboard .the
college also need to make software and protected it as the system who make the computer
work.
Providing a safe environment for students and staff is important Stockport College, thefore
the college need to take care with the management of security as it play importance role,
this include: CCTV cameras ,security alarm and fire exist .An example of how the
management security can improve is by providing some people of the security staff in front
of the college entrance as some people may come inside the college without their ID card ,
they come in by their friend’s help and they can easily come inside the college. By doing this
the college will be a safe environment for students to and as well as good environment to
study.
Technological resources
Stockport college’ technological resources will include their intellectual property, copyrights
and patents, and their accumulated experience and skills. Their intellectual property is put
their thoughts/ideas and thing that make Stockport College unique. For example the college’
logo and the staff or students own works. In addition, one of the intellectual properties
could include Skoodle website for the students to check their work and feedbacks.
The management of the technological resources in Stockpot College could improve
Stockport College’s performance, If their intellectual property is kept update with the latest
