Unit 16 : Human Resource Management in business
Explain how organisations obtain the cooperation of their employees

Introduction:
In this task it will be explained different ways of how the employer is cooperating with its
employees in order to motivate and work with them in the future. In fact the organisation
that is going to be linked in this task is British Airways.

What is cooperation?
Cooperation is the process of individuals of working or acting together for common or
mutual benefit in order to progress and achieve the targets. For example the British Airways
employers will work together with their employees in order to get them involved with the
workplace in a better way s and also to make them enough motivated in order to work to
the best of their ability. Also cooperation is by looking at the entitlements and the
expectations of both employee and employer and finding a way to make them work
together.

British Airways
British Airways is the largest airline in the United Kingdom based on fleet size, this was
measured by passengers carried. The airline is based in Waterside near its main hub at
London Heathrow Airport. In fact t by being the largest airline in UK , they have been
showing that they are cooperating to the high standards with their employees in order to
achieve that reputation and progress.

What are contracts of Employment?
Contract of employment is when an organisation is given responsibility to one of the
supervisor to offer a certain salary to the new employees only if the employees agree to give
something back as performing certain tasks. For example, a manager in British Airways hires
some people for the position of customer service, in fact there are stating in their
agreement to the people that they are going to give them £9.50 per hour only if the
individual will work to best of their ability and provide the best customer service with the
probation months. Also in the contract of employments is including some rights and
responsibilities that both, employer and employee must stand by. For example in the
contract of British Airways , the customer service people must always smile and greet their
customers, never to be late and always to high standards , on the other side the employer
has always to listen to the associate inquiries , solve the risen problems as soon as possible
and to offer the holiday if is booked in advance.
