The College now require you to carry out some research to identify suitable locations for the next road show tour. These locations should be in areas where there are likely to be substantial number of unemployed people aged 16 to 64 for both its in-house courses and their distance learning courses. Identify a data set to process into information for your reports. The data you will need can be found using the nomisweb data (click here to access nomisweb, how to drill (data mine) using the wizard are in the assignment folder - nomisweb instructions . Download the final data into a spreadsheet. P6 Create a report for your team leader to explain how you decided what data you would require to develop the required management information and how you checked it for accuracy. Show where the data set was found, use screenshots to show how you drilled down to the final data and say why it was selected. Refer to unit content Gather information: define the requirement; establish sources of information; define other factors to be considered e.g. constraints; select information. D2 Continue the report to your team leader justifying the information you selected at P6 to support the business decision making processes for road show locations. P7 Use a spreadsheet for processing the data you find into useful management information identifying some suitable locations where the road show is more likely to find unemployed 16 to 64 year olds, use charts, graphs and tables to present your data (paste into report). M3 In the report now explain how the information you generated is quality information in that it is valid, accurate and relevant (information that is fit for the purpose it was intended). This will ideally be a single page, 2 pages maximum, so management reading the report can understand the information you have produced comes from good quality raw data.
