• De bewegingsvorm van je kaakgewricht dicteert de vorm van je knobbels en kiezen.
• Mechanica van onderkaaksbewegingen. De meeste gewrichten heeft een deel wat kan schuiven. Het kaakgewricht is een duogewricht
gemaakt uit twee hoeves waardoor het complexer is dan andere gewrichten.
o Rotatie
▪ Eerste deel van de beweging bij openen. Je rolt naar voren.
▪ Rotatie vindt in verschillende richtingen plaats.
• Transversale as
• Verticale as → een enkel deel van het gewricht roteert.
• Sagittale vlak → maar een beetje te verwaarlozen, heel theoretisch iets. Bij kauwen krijg je een indirecte
sagittale rotatie van het kaakgewricht. Aan de ene kant komt het kaakgewricht op elkaar en de kiezen ook
en aan de andere kant niet
▪ Kan ook in beide richtingen tegelijk maar dan in ene helft van kaakgewricht in transversale as en in ander deel
kaakgewricht in verticale as
• Translatie
o Bepaald door de hellingshoek van de condylus
o Wanneer de OK naar voren beweegt glijdt hij over de condylushelling.
• Figuur van posselt
o Beschrijving van de kaakbewegingen.
o Ken de punten van Posselt.
o Links: grensbewegingen bij de eerste rotatie en vanaf 1 naar beneden: translatie
o 2: meest proale opening: zo ver mogelijk proaal openen
o Rechter hoekpunt → van maximaal proaal naar maximale occlusie ga je over punt 3.
o Hoogste punt: maximale occlusie
o Centrale positie: iets verdere naar achter dan maximale occlusie.
o 4: kauwcyclus en praatcyclus. Je maakt bewegingen binnen lijn 4
Beweging in verticaal vlak
Eerste deel: rotatie
Tweede deel: rotatie en translatie.
2-2 Meest proale grenstraject gaat van maximale opening naar maximaal proaal (helemaal boven in)
2-3: grenstraject: voorbij bovenincisief langs boventanden naar centrale relatie.
