Essay: Criminal Prosecution of Law Enforcement
In today's society, there appears to be a growing inclination to subject law enforcement officers to criminal prosecutions surrounding issues of injury, injustice or death experienced by the general public. Traditionally, law enforcement officers are regarded by the public as protectors of the community, those who put their lives on the line for the greater good, ensure safety to the masses and while these are all true statements, law enforcement officers are just human and can make mistakes; grave ones at that.
