and suggest measures that could be taken to improve the corporate responsibility
Ethical Issues and ways of improvement the Body Shop today have to face the ethical and social
issues in order to become and seen as socially and ethically responsible business. Pressures groups
and environmental organisatons working in the communites and employee volunteering are the
right areas where The Body Shop can make progress towards becoming a responsible business. In
order for them to satsfy the communites and becoming more ethical, the Body Shop will have
ethical polices which are ofen have been set in place as a result of pressures form the investment
community .Therefore, these ethical polices can have a great impact on the company values as well
as the employee.

One of the ethical concerns that Body Shop need to consider is the employees. Due to the fact that
the employees are one of the most important assert of the business. This is because to become
responsible business such the Body Shop has become a central issue for candidates who are aiming
to find a great job in a great company. Therefore, it is vital for the Body Shop to implement genuine
responsible business programmes in order to recruit and retain the best talent employees. In
additon, The Body Shop will need to ensure that their business and its employees are operatng
ethically in all the local, regional, natonal and global communites. This because if the Body Shop’s
store in one community has faced any problems or unethical trading, then the whole business will be
under a risk. The Body Shop is very well-known ethical brand, which works with local communites to
provide jobs, service and support local causes. Therefore, in order to make positve contributons to
the communites around the world, the Body Shop employee more than 22,000 employees in more
than 3000 stores in 66 countries.

Local communites – I believe that the Body Shop can be a great place for customers, employees and
the public, and therefore The Body Shop’s stores should be special places in local communites since
the fact that they are aiming to make a positve contributon towards the communites as well as to
be a force for good. They should be a place where people can rely on them and feel safe and treated
with full respect. Therefore, actng responsibly for communites should be the core value of the Body
Shop as this could lead them to more successful and help them to operate more ethically. One of the
way the Body Shop helped to improve the local communites is by employing thousands of people in
the their shops such UK and Europe countries, in order to raise the living standard and make the
people live normal and more satsfied life. In additon, in order for The Body Shop to improve their
corporate responsibility, the company can help the launch new campaigns to help and persuade the
children and young adult to keep studying and achieving their future career aims, and this will help
to improve and develop the local communites as well.

Regional and natonal communites – Although the Body Shop is working to make a positve
contributon towards the regional and natonal communites. For example, by 2020, The Body Shop
aiming to build Biro-bridges, protectng and regeneratng 75 million square of habitat helping in the
Khe Nuoc Trong Forest in Vietnam and other country such as Indonesia and Malaysia to live more
sustainably. However, the Body Shop can also make some improvements in order to be ethically
responsible business for these regional and natonal communites by ensuring the children’s success
at school and beyond is not determined by their social background. Therefore, they launch new
campaign against child labour to ensure all the children have good childhood and success at school.
This need to consider especially in the non-developing countries such Indonesia and India, since the
fact that these children in these countries have been enforced to work in bad conditons due to the
fact that the money they earn means either survival or starvaton for their family. Therefore, by
