definition of terrorism, What is terrorism? Terrorism is a controversial topic that many might argue its definition. Some might say its an attack against the government, others might say its an act of violence against “we” the people. Another problem with defining terrorism is that, where does state terrorism place in this definition. “When “we” are bombed by “them”, it is an act of terrorism, and “they” are the terrorists. When “we” bomb “them.” It is a pacification campaign, or low-intensity warfare, and “they” are collateral damage” (Critical Concepts, 171). That is why it's difficult to define terrorism, there are so many broad definitions made by states it's hard for all of them to agree on only one.
