Unit 18 Workin in Health Sector M1 D1

The aim of the unit is to provide you with the opportunity to explore working in the health sector, including the current organisation and administration of health care. It will enable you to examine and reflect on aspects of health care provision, in your potential preparation for a career in the health sector. Initially, you will explore careers in the health sector and the requirements of these in terms of not only training/qualifications but also personal attributes. You will explore the structure of health service provision, including National Service Frameworks and then go on to consider roles and responsibilities, including workforce development. The roles of a number of key overarching organisations will be examined as will policy and legislation. Finally you will explore examples of multi-disciplinary working.
